Mackenzie's cross
A few years back, Christine Trueman
and Joan Hein had a vision of
turning the weed covered lakeside area at the back of the church into a
beautiful Meditation Garden, complete with a bench and cross.
Wayne Trueman
and his granddaughter MacKenzie went
out into the forest and carefully selected a tree that would be just right for
the cross. They chopped it down, peeled it, and cut it into two pieces.
Back at the Trueman house, they put the two pieces together, laid the cross on
the trailer and brought it down to the church.
Together, they dug a hole, mixed cement and placed the cross in position.
